As Bangladesh’s first coffee roaster, North End needed a subsidiary brand for supermarket use which tied in with their connection to the North End of Boston’s coffee culture. Hanover Street being the road where North End’s best coffee is located, we wanted to play off of that motif. Initially we pursued a brighter look, but gradually moved to a more elegant and clean look that emphasizes hand-crafted quality. This was done with graphite drawings, Garamond text and a clean white look. This branding was applied to coffee packaging, shelf displays, kiosk cafes and flyers.
